Want to Cycle the Wild Atlantic Way?
Cycle Tours Ireland encourage you to explore all parts of this beautiful county by bike. From the amazing views of the six mile mountain loop of the Gleniff Drive to the amazing landscapes of Lough Gill. Sligo is full of lovely sites but we recommend seeing them all by bike. Breath in the healthy sea air and visit the surrounding countryside of the iconic Benbulben mountain. Explore the Fossil beaches and the shore rocks of Streedagh where three ships from the Spanish Armada crashed into the shore. Make your way round and visit the sea side coastal village of Mullaghmore. Cycle past the 19th century castle of Classiebawn before stopping off for lunch at the award winning sea food restaurant Eithna’s By the Sea. Before making your way back into Sligo we recommend a stop off at the WB Yeats final resting place in the churchyard of Drumcliff. There is also the option of visiting the magnificent 1830's Lissadell House a fine example of Greek-revival architecture. We also recommend spending time In Sligo town.
